Near Edremit is the fabulous Kazdağı Milli Parkı.
The fish of Kazdağı get a mention here.

The stream that eventually goes through Zeytinli

Living in this stream were trout, terrapins, shrimp, freshwater crabs and those little fish that swim towards you in great clouds and try to eat your feet.

Kuş Cenneti. Paradise for migratory birds.

This cat was twitching with eagerness to get to the fish.

This cat wasn't.

The Ayvalık area is full of islands with the remains of monasteries.

The kale walls have a lot of recycled stone
Just south of Ankara is Tuz Gölü, the great salt lake.
