The story of a trip centring on Mardin that I did in about 2002 is here.
When the kite dropped onto this roof, I picked it up and threw it inot the air so it could keep flying

Towards evening, I saw this kite
He saw me taking pictures and put the kite where I wanted it
Mardin seems designed for kite-flying
People came out in the evening as the air cooled
Mardin is amazingly high
